Balayage and Ombre Hair Styling

Balayage originally in French means “to sweep” or “to paint”. The idea behind balayage is to provide a more natural soft highlighted look. The highlights are literally painted on the hair with a clay like bleach that stops processing overtime. It’s a longer process so you want might to bring a snack if balayage is right for you.

Ombre’ on the other hand, is a gradual dark to light color change. Typically what you will see is darker color on the roots going to a slightly lighter color in the middle to brighter blonder color on the ends.
